About CONMEBOL Libertadores

Copa Libertadores 2025 – South America's Biggest Club Tournament

The 2025 Copa Libertadores has reached the group stage, where 32 of the best clubs from across South America are competing to move forward. The tournament runs through May, and only the top two teams from each group will qualify for the next round. This format creates a high level of competition early in the tournament, with every match playing an important role.

Some of the top teams are already showing their strength. River Plate, from Argentina, are aiming to return to the top of the continent. Their experience and strong fan support make them one of the favorites again this year.

From Brazil, two teams are in excellent form. Palmeiras have been one of the most consistent clubs in recent seasons, while Flamengo bring a lot of attacking talent and experience. Both are serious contenders for the title.

But there are other teams who also have big hopes. Racing Club want to prove they belong with the top teams. Peñarol, one of the most successful clubs in Uruguay, bring tradition and strong play. And São Paulo, a former champion, have the quality to go far again.

The Copa Libertadores is always full of surprises, and the group stage is where many great stories begin. With passionate fans, historic rivalries, and clubs playing for pride and glory, this tournament remains one of the most exciting in world football.
