Commentary
Letexier shows mercy on Newcastle and plays no injury time, as Barcelona complete a 7-2 rout and an 8-3 aggregate victory to book a Champions League quarter-final with either Atletico Madrid or Tottenham. There was no sign of what was to come in the first half, as Elanga responded twice to goals from Raphinha and Bernal, only for Trippier's costly pull on Raphinha to allow Yamal to make it 3-2 from the penalty spot just before half-time. What followed was a stunning masterclass from the LaLiga giants, Fermin Lopez and Raphinha (for his second of the night) on target either side of a brilliant Lewandowski brace. Barca - who had an xG of 4.29 to Newcastle's 1.52 - can now continue their quest for a sixth Champions League crown, while Newcastle have to dust themselves off quickly for the derby with Sunderland this weekend. Thanks for joining us for this one folks, until next time!

Newcastle have conceded seven-plus goals in a match in any competition for the first time since a 7-3 defeat to Arsenal in December 2012 - this is their 610th game since. It is also the joint-most ever by an English team in a game in major European competition, after Tottenham in their 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in October 2019.
